How We Manufacture Cannabinoid, Mushroom & Nootropic Gummies

Every product starts with a formula — either one of the proven ready-to-go formulas in our white label library, or a custom formula developed by our in-house R&D team for a private label client.

Our R&D capabilities include:

• Formulation development from concept — you describe the product; our team builds the formula from scratch

• Multi-active compatibility engineering — cannabinoid + mushroom, multi-cannabinoid stacks, mushroom + nootropic combinations

• Taste-masking for higher-potency cannabinoid or mushroom loads

• Stability and shelf-life testing — verifying the formula performs in the bottle, not just in the lab

• Sample iteration — for private label clients, we typically run 2–3 rounds of sample refinement before a formula is locked

Custom private label formulations are exclusive to the brand they're developed for. We don't sell the same custom formula to another client.

Every active ingredient that goes into an Ajax Creations gummy comes from a licensed USA-based, GMP-certified supplier. That includes:

• Cannabinoids — CBD, hemp-derived Delta-9 THC, CBN, CBG, CBC, sourced under the 2018 Farm Bill framework

• Functional mushrooms — Lion's Mane, Cordyceps, Turkey Tail, and other functional species, fruiting body extracts only (never mycelium grown on grain)

• Nootropic and supplement actives — sourced from suppliers with documented Certificates of Analysis on every lot

• Base ingredients — pectin, organic-acid pH adjusters, sweeteners, natural flavors, and natural colors, all from USA-based suppliers

Sourcing is the first quality decision in manufacturing. Most variability in finished gummy quality traces back to ingredients — not equipment, not formulation. We chose our suppliers carefully and don't switch them to chase lower per-unit costs.

Before a single gummy is produced, every active ingredient in the formula is tested for purity and potency.

This pre-production verification confirms two things:

1. The active is what the supplier's COA says it is. Supplier documentation is a starting point, not a final answer. Re-testing in-house catches any discrepancies before they enter your product.

2. The active is at the potency the formula requires. Cannabinoid and mushroom isolates can vary in concentration. We verify the actual potency of incoming material so the finished gummy hits the target dose your label claims.

If anything fails verification, the lot doesn't enter production. Period.

Every Ajax Creations gummy is infused, never sprayed or surface-coated.

Here's what that means in practice. Spraying is the cheap method some manufacturers use: produce a plain gummy, then spray or dip it in a solution of active ingredient. The coating is uneven, degrades over time, and varies piece to piece — which is why so many "high-potency" gummies on the market don't actually deliver consistent dosing.

Infusion is the right method. The active ingredient is mixed directly into the gummy slurry before molding, distributing evenly throughout the entire piece. Infusion takes more time and costs more to do properly. It's the only method that produces consistent potency in every gummy, batch after batch.

Our production capacity runs up to 100,000 units per shift, supporting brands from first-run launches to national-scale reorders.

All of our gummies are pectin-based rather than gelatin-based. This choice affects more than the ingredient list:

• Heat-stable in transit. Gelatin softens around standard summer shipping temperatures. Pectin holds up significantly better, which is why so many CBD and Delta-9 brands switch to us after a bad summer with their previous manufacturer.

• Vegan by default. Pectin is plant-derived (typically from citrus peels or apples). Vegan formulation is standard across our entire product line, not an upcharge.

• Cleaner texture. Pectin produces a softer, less rubbery bite that consumers consistently prefer in side-by-side testing.

After production, every finished batch is sent to an ISO-certified third-party laboratory for final verification.

The laboratory confirms:

• Cannabinoid potency for every active in the formula (itemized by cannabinoid for multi-cannabinoid blends)

• Compliance with federal thresholds (e.g. 0.3% Delta-9 by dry weight under the 2018 Farm Bill for hemp-derived products)

• Beta-glucan content for functional mushroom products

• Microbial, heavy-metal, and pesticide screening

We provide the full Certificate of Analysis (COA) with every order. When a retailer, distributor, payment processor, or marketplace asks your brand for documentation, you already have it.

Once the finished batch passes third-party verification, gummies are packaged under your brand. We work with whichever packaging format fits your strategy:

• Bulk packaging for downstream fill operations

• Pouches, jars, or bottles for finished retail

• Child-resistant packaging where required by law

• Your packaging supplier, or one of ours if you don't have one

Label artwork, packaging materials, and any custom inserts are coordinated through our team. You source the packaging (or we recommend a supplier); we fill, label, and prepare for shipment.

Once payment is processed and packaging has arrived at our facility, most orders ship within a few weeks.

Realistic timelines depend on the path:

• White label — typically 3–6 weeks from order confirmation

• Private label — typically 6–12 weeks from initial conversation, including R&D and sample iteration
